Registration begins at 8:30am. The 2015 Walk for Water will be held at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church 5100 Camden Av San Jose 95124. Parking will be available at St. Timothy's and at the Christian Reformed Church next door. Carpooling is encouraged. Walk Day will be a joyous celebration of what God has accomplished through our efforts! Here's the schedule:
8:30am - Registration begins
9:30am - Opening Ceremony
10:00am - Walk for Water
11:15am - Lunch will be served while we enjoy an Ashley Cleveland concert together!!
12:30-12:45pm - wrap up.
The walk is about 3.5 miles. This is the average distance that women and children, all over the world, walk for water on a daily basis. We'll begin the walk with an empty bucket (provided) at St. Timothy's. We'll walk a route along city streets to Carden Academy. When participants reach Carden Academy, they will fill their buckets with water (as much or as little as you like) and return to St. Timothy's. This 3.5 mile walk will give us a glimpse of what people do all over the world on a daily basis. 100% of funds raised will go to providing safe, clean water solutions in the following 9 countries: Haiti, Honduras, Peru, Kenya, Malawi, Mexico, Tanzania, Indonesia and Uganda, through our beneficiary Water Missions International! Additional Bethel Fund Raising Opportunities (incentives) We have an amazing $3500 matching donations if made through Bethel. We are being given a gracious $100 per Bethel Walker up to 50 Bethel Team Walkers.
