Dear Friends, Mother's Day approaches, but STOP! Do not buy your mom or wife that crêpe pan, fondu maker, electric pot pourri warmer . . . or any other small appliance for that matter. She'd much rather spend time with you listening to beautiful music. This coming Saturday, May 10, Barbary Grant will perform Motherhood: A Celebration in Word & Song at 7:30 p.m. The music, performed on both Irish and Paraguayan harps and voice, is drawn from many cultures. Barbary's own mother, Donna Hove, is traveling here from Southern California to read poems that celebrate mothers and grandmothers between songs. Barbary's husband, Tony, will also read (in Spanish!) and her father, Mel, will greet you at the door.
