For this "in-depth" study, we will depend on the Holy Spirit to lead us through the book of 1 John that we may (1) understand God's revelation through the text and other portions of Scripture that support it; and (2) seek to apply this revelation in a manner consistent with glorifying Him and witnessing the Love of Christ to others. We will endeavor to have some time during each study period to participate in smaller groups in order to develop a sense of community and share what the text is meaning to us personally. Chuck has been a member of Bethel since 1977. He has participated in, and led, Bible studies in a wide variety of formats. These formats have included studies developed by the "Bethel Bible Study," "Search," and "Crossways" organizations; as well as inductive studies of many Old and New testament books, and many topical studies attempting to discern the Biblical stance on major themes ranging from the "The Will of God" to "The Welcoming Church." Beyond Bible study, Chuck's lesser avocations include ukulele playing, general reading, genealogy and travel with his wife, Cathy.
