"These Bugs are Made for Walking" This year Bethel School invites everyone to join in their annual Walk-A-Thon and raise money for Hurricane Katrina Relief! A new twist this year, too- a Silent Auction of Time, Talent and Treasures. Whether you sponsor a walker (or two!), participate in the walk yourself, donate an auction item, or help with the event, please take this opportunity to unite with our school families for a great cause. This year 10% of the BLS proceeds from this year’s Walk will go to the ELCA Domestic Disaster Relief for Hurricane Katrina families. The remaining be used for computer lab equipment, library needs, special assemblies and teacher enrichment. ALL sponsoring/donations given through Bethel church members/participants (as indicated) will be given to ELCA Domestic Disaster Relief and matched through Thrivent. All donations are tax deductible. If you would like to participate in either the walk or donate to the silent auction, sponsor sheets are available in the front office. On October 22nd, the registration table will be located on the elementary playground and begins at 9:00AM. Walking starts at 9:30 Am with an opening ceremony and ends at 11:30 Am.
