| Join us as we travel about a mile and a half on foot through downtown San Jose and visit 4 breweries. Meet at Bethel at 11:30am and head off for a 1.2 mile beer-walk along 1st street and beyond, taking us to 4 breweries. Our first stop will be Uproar Brewery, where along with trying out some of their beers, we can grab a snack or lunch from their kitchen. This stop has plenty of indoor table seating, or pull up a stool at the bar and chat with the friendly staff and hear some beer stories. Leaving Uproar we will take a 7 minute walk down 1st street to Camino Brewing. If you are still hungry, there may be food onsite, but if not, you can grab some food at the El Torito Azteca food truck just across the street from Camino and bring it in. There are tables inside or the patio out back. From Camino we walk another 7 minutes further down 1st to Clandestine Brewing. Another small brewery set back from the street with a selection of 15 brews. Seating is both inside and at picnic tables outside. You can get four ounce tasters using tokens (tokens $2 each). So you can get a stack of tokens and share them. If you have leftover tokens, you can always use them another day. Now for our last stop. Leaving Clandestine it is a 12 minute walk to Santa Clara Valley Brewing. After the walk we can get some refreshing bright IPAs and more. SCVB’s brewer, Steve Donohue, has been brewing since 1994, having started brewing in his apartment kitchen in college. Space may be a little tight here, but we can make it work. As we wrap up at SCVB, we will take a final stroll to burn off our Hops. After Santa Clara Valley Brewing, we will hop back on the Bus for a short ride over to Kelley Park to take a 30 minute walk and rest at the Japanese Friendship Gardens. Bring money for food and beer. Friends are always welcome. Sign up at: http://signup.com/go/SJCSDrK
