| Description: |
Are you ready to embark on a journey that will transform the way you see the world? Our Farmworker Reality Tours offer a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between the farmworker community and those who enjoy the fruits of their hard labor. Farmworker housing is often located in remote areas, making these essential workers nearly invisible to the general public. Our tours aim to change that by bringing you face-to-face with the people who make our food possible. On this immersive tour, you'll have the chance to meet and engage in meaningful conversations with farmworkers, listen to their powerful testimonials, and experience their daily lives firsthand. You'll share their food, visit their living quarters, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they face. Join us in building connections, fostering empathy, and creating a more informed and compassionate community. Be part of an eye-opening experience that will leave you with a profound appreciation for the hardworking individuals who sustain our food supply. Meet: Bethel Parking lot at 12:30pm Cost: $35pp - Includes the donation to the Farmworker Organization (Cash or check made out to “Bethel Lutheran Church” and give to Tom Hoegel) Other Costs: A food truck and crafts are often present. Dinner will be Provided. Return: Back to Bethel by 9:30pm Contact: Tom Hoegel (408-309-9975) tom@bigdogsound.net Sign up online: here
