Have you met the trolls? It’s almost time to say good-bye! Come join Out ‘n About as we have a fun day viewing the trolls, gardens and historic home at Filoli (home of an early key provider of drinking water to San Francisco!) The trolls’ theme is Save the Humans. Each one is a delight, smiling and participating in some caring act of human preservation. They are the amusing and gratifying creation of Danish artist Thomas Dambo (created by recycling materials!). They are living on the hillside behind the home, a gentle uphill walk. Or a short, but beautiful, hike further uphill to the flume is open. Also that day, we will have the pleasure of visiting the gardens, complete with their fall theme decorations, and gorgeous seasonal growth still in luscious bloom. The sense of peacefulness and calm in the garden is a welcome change from our daily hustle bustle. In addition. the house shares a fascinating look at history, including a presidential visit, historic collection of art on the ballroom walls and throughout the residence, life and kitchen traditions, as well as a fun old TV, the resident dog, and the chauffeur’s hat. Sign up quickly as there are a limited number of tickets. BTW, rumor has it that a new troll has decided to move in!
