This month our very own Dave Denny will share with us the intimacy of poetry and how it has impacted his life. Dave will talk about his life of poetry as well as sharing some poetry. He might even engage us to unlock our inner poet!
Dave Denny is Spritual Care Coordinator for Bethel Lutheran Church. He holds an MFA from the University of Oregon. Awards and honors include The Thomas Merton Poetry of the Sacred Contest, The Steve Kowit Poetry Prize, The Center for Book Arts Broadside Award, an Artist Laureate Award from the Arts Council of Silicon Valley, and several Pushcart Prize nominations. He lives in Silicon Valley, where he teaches writing and literature at De Anza College.
Dinner is from Sandi’s Cobbler Cups: Beef Stew, Coleslaw, Bread, Dessert. A freewill offering of $15 helps us cover costs.
