This month, Bethel hosts a special event featuring Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb, presenting “Jerusalem: What Makes for Peace?”, a timely exploration of Jerusalem as key to peace in the Middle East.
Mitri Raheb (Arabic: متري الراهب) is a Palestinian Christian, the pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Christmas Church in Bethlehem (a member church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land, or ELCJHL), and the founder and president of the Diyar Consortium, a group of Lutheran-based, ecumenically-oriented institutions serving the Bethlehem area.
He is an author, Lutheran theologian, President of Bright Stars of Bethlehem, social entrepreneur, Dar al-Kalima University President, husband and father.
Dinner is Chicken Vegetable Rice soup, Turkey sandwich, Salad and Dessert catered from Erik’s DeliCafé. A freewill offering of $15 helps us cover costs.
